Privacy Policy

Effective date: 17 July 2026 · Last updated: 17 July 2026

Yayas On Demand (“we,” “us,” or “the Platform”) operates yayasondemand.com, a self-service job board that connects childcare helpers (“yayas”) with families in Cagayan de Oro City and nearby areas. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the rights you have under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its implementing rules.

By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. Information we collect

From yayas:

From families: full name, email address, mobile number, city or municipality, an optional video call (Google Meet) link, and the details of job postings you create (schedule, salary range, number and ages of children, and duties).

From all users: account activity on the Platform (job posts, applications, and meet & greet schedules), communications you send us, and basic technical data such as device type and pages visited, which may be collected through cookies and similar technologies for security and analytics.

2. Why we collect it (purposes and legal bases)

We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone.

3. How we handle NBI clearances

4. What other users can see

5. Who we share information with

We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate the Platform, under contracts that require them to protect it: web hosting and content delivery (currently Vercel), database and file storage (currently Supabase), email and SMS notification providers, and payment processors for family-side fees. Some of these providers store data on servers outside the Philippines; where they do, we ensure a comparable level of protection as required by the Data Privacy Act.

We may also disclose information when required by law or by a lawful order of a court or government agency, or to protect the safety of our users.

6. How long we keep it

We keep account information while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or irreversibly anonymize your personal information within ninety (90) days, except records we are legally required to keep. NBI clearance photos follow the shorter retention rule in Section 3.

7. How we protect it

We use reasonable organizational, physical, and technical security measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls on sensitive data, and private storage for identity documents. No system is perfectly secure; if a data breach occurs that is likely to harm you, we will notify you and the National Privacy Commission as required by law.

8. Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to be informed about how your data is processed; to access a copy of your data; to correct inaccurate data; to object to processing; to request deletion or blocking of data that is unlawfully processed; to data portability; and to claim damages for violations. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with the law.

If you believe your data privacy rights have been violated, you may also lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).

9. Children

The Platform is for users who are at least eighteen (18) years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. Information about children that appears in job postings (such as ages) is provided by their own parents or guardians for the purpose of describing the childcare role.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Platform or by email before the changes take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the latest revision.

11. Contact us

For privacy questions, requests, or concerns, contact the Platform administrator at francisivan.adelan@gmail.com. Please put “Privacy Request” in the subject line.
